My name is Cameron-Jayne Lambert and I'm a third-year BA (Hons) Media and Communication student, studying at Birmingham City University.

I've always had a passion for photography ever since I was in primary school when I was given a compact camera as a Christmas present. Ever since then I've been developing my skills through all types, such as landscape, portrait and travel photography. It wasn't until my late teens when I found the love for sports photography when I was working for a sporting company that timed marathons all over the UK, at this time I was able to try out my bosses professional camera (which I was very excited but also terrified of using). Did quite a few marathons shoots from then on and continued to develop my skills further in both sports and portrait photography (in A-levels).

For my graphic design, I did dabble with graphic design in my Media (Print Design) class at school but it wasn't until I went to university that I learned more about the business side of graphic design and how graphics can help showcase information in a visual form to target audiences. Which proved useful when I started to build my own photograph brand later on. 

 

Once university came around I decided to start taking my own route into sporting photography alongside my studies, upgrading my camera and try out building a brand.

Fast forward to now, I have worked with/photographed a good few Football and Ice Hockey (Coventry Blaze) teams in Birmingham and Coventry areas and trying to gain as much experience as I can while I'm still at university to learn and develop my skills. I've done work placements in Sign Development, Website Design, Graphic Design and Photography and excited to explore more creative opportunities in the future and work in an industry than I love.
